College of Safety & Disaster Management

The College Of Safety & Disaster Management (CSDM) has been established by Nehru National Institute Of Technology And Management (NNITM) in accordance to the Society's Motto:-  Spreading Wisdom = Knowledge + Experience in the field of Proffesional Management. NNITM is duly registered with Government of Uttar Pradesh, based on Central Government Act XXI of 1860 as per the provision of Literary And Scientific Institution Act, 1847.

The College Motto is to ensure "Safety" in every sphere of life as denoted in the logo duly explained as "Safety in Routine and Specific Activities of Life."

The aforestated courses are conducted in regular classes as well as through correspondence. Lectures/Lecture Notes, Practical, Laboratory and Field demonstrations followed by hands-on experience on through vocational placements under guidance and performed and are all a part of the curriculum.

Technical Aids:

Modern scientific teaching is practically impossible without a gamut of teaching aids viz., Over Head Projectors, Slide & LCD Projectors, Computer and internet, power point presentations. Our faculty utilizes these facilities liberally.


Experienced faculty to give an overview of different specialities involved in this blended course delivers didactic lectures.


Demonstrations are given with an objective to develop technical skills and to illustrate how to perform an act or technical procedure. For correspondence course students, digital demonstrations are being prepared. These demonstrations are visual presentations using objects.

Group Discussion:

These are held periodically in batches of 6-10 students, supervised by faculty for clarifying doubts, sharing knowledge with fellow collegues and teachers. The proposed website of the College also plans to hold online discussions for the correspondence course students.

Problem Based Learning:

We have also introduced problem based learning in batches of 6-10 students with an expert fecilitator from the faculty.

Student Tutorials & Seminars:

These include assignments, diagram making, write ups, short orations to inculcate the spirit of self learning.

Laboratory Practicals:

These are held according to the syllabus to develop analytical skills as well as to learn use of common safety assessment tools.


The College harbour a Central Library and is Liaisoning with Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and other public libraries for institutional memberships.

Computing Facilities:

The College has got a well-equipped computer laboratory with online lecture presentation development in progress. Students are encouraged to use the computing, faclities both for their academic as well as professional upliftment.
Eligibility of Student:

Minimal qualification is Intermediate(10+2)

Minimum Age:

18+ years at the time of admission

How to apply:

Application forms are available at CSDM which needs to be dully filled and submitted.

Thereafter the candidates shall be called for interview and selections be made; Admissions are made by selection interviews and previous merits of Board examinations and by panel's judgement of efficiency and adaptability of candidate, which is judged in personal interview.

Bank draft for the prescribed amount for the course will have to be deposited during the admission process. Any candidate discontinuing the course will not receive any reimbursement of Seat & material funds as those are to be spent on charitable activities and development. However the security deposit shat be duly returned on completion of no dues, in case of any penalty or extra expenditure incurred due to an action of the student , it shall be deducted from that amount.

Since this is a completely self-reliant organization(does not receive any Govt. aid or grant) dedicated to meet it's objectives of "Saftey for All" and maintains high level of standards in education and professional enrichment. A bulk of money towards material expenses during the delivery of the course is charged in the beginning along with the first-month fee, and security deposit followed by a monthly fee and examinition fee in the end. Till date the college has been solely funded by the Falahe Deen Educational Society, Lucknow. The cost of prospectus and entrance test is separate from the above fees.

All the candidates will have to undergo a rigorous on-the-job training/internship in an industrial/ practical environment for at least six weeks. Only those candidates will be awarded the certificate/Diploma who complete the internship successfully. The assessment of the candidates behavior and general attitude during the internship must be up to mark and will be determined in assigning him/her successful grades.

Semester-wise Fee for Distance Education Program

While enrolled at College of Safety & Disaster Management (CSDM), students are expected to abide by and respect this conduct code. Disciplinary action will be taken with any student that breaks the code.

As a Safety Professional, it is extremely important to have a look that is professional. Grooming and personal hygiene are an important facet of this occupation, therefor all students are required to come to college with hair styled, nail manicured and make-up applied where applicable. Correspondence course students are also required to follow these norms whenever they visit the college campus.

Student's food and beverages are allowed only in designated areas and at designated times.

Stealing will not be tolerated. If a student is caught doing so, they will be given a written violation and be subjected to suspension or expulsion. Students are advised to label all items and properties belonging to them. CSDM reserves the right to search student's bags, purse, lockers and jackets if warranted. CSDM will not be responsible for the loss or theft of student's personal property.

Students are to make sure that an instructor checks all the practical notebooks.

Any defacing, vandalism, or abusing of any college property will be ground for immediate suspension or expulsion.

Smoking, paan chewing or spitting is not permitted within 25 feet of college property.

Students are not allowed, at any time, in the office of a staff member without permission.

All areas are to be maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. Students are required to do sanitation duties on a daily basis and will be checked before class is dismissed, this will include personal stations.

The use of cellphone during college hours, unless on a break or during lunch is not permitted. Cell phones are never allowed on the clinic floor. (not even during a break or lunch) NO EXCEPTION!! If a student is caught having or using a cell phone while in class/laboratory or any time other than breaks or lunch , a written violation will be given, and the phone will be taken and kept by the staff until the end of the day.

For each student service that is to be performed, a "student service request form" must be completed and signed by an instructor before services may begin.
